Under the Mukhya Mantri Kanya Utthan Yojana (मुख्यमंत्री कन्या उत्थान योजना), there is a provision to give an incentive of Rs 25,000 to the girl students who have passed the intermediate examination from a board recognized by the state government. The state government has allocated Rs 631 crore for this yojana. Certain conditions have also been prescribed for this.

In February 2021 itself, the Bihar government had announced to give Rs 25,000 as incentive to the girl students who passed Intermediate, but due to Corona epidemic, timely allocation of funds could not be done. Now the state government has announced about giving double happiness to the girl students on the occasion of New Year. Chief Minister Kanya Utthan Yojana is a part of the good governance program of the Nitish government. Under this, the incentive amount is provided to the intermediate pass girls, so that girls can be encouraged to study further.
