Teachers in Bihar to Get Desired Postings: 10 Choice Options, Major Announcement by Education Minister

Bihar’s Education Minister Sunil Kumar has announced that teachers will be given their desired postings within the next two months based on 10 choices. The software for postings has been prepared, and certain criteria have also been established.

Patna: A major announcement regarding teachers has been made in Bihar. Education Minister Sunil Kumar has declared that teachers will be given their desired postings within the next two months. For this, they will be allowed to choose from 10 options. He also shared that the software for postings is ready, and certain criteria have been set. These criteria include considerations like medical conditions, spouse postings, and personal preferences. However, the final posting will be subject to the availability of vacancies.

The Education Minister further stated that if a teacher does not receive their desired posting, they can appeal to the District Magistrate (DM), Commissioner, or departmental committees. He also mentioned that teachers suffering from more than 40 critical illnesses have already been granted their preferred postings. This information was provided by the Education Minister in the Assembly in response to a question posed by MLA Suryakant Paswan.

It is noteworthy that in all schools across Bihar, teachers’ deputation will now be conducted in a manner similar to transfers and postings. The state headquarters has issued directives to all District Education Officers (DEOs) regarding this. The headquarters has also empowered the respective DEOs to carry out this process. Teachers will only be deputed to schools where no teachers are currently available. However, this deputation process will only begin after the completion of the transfer-posting process for all categories of teachers, including those recruited through BPSC and competency-based exams.
